The Menu is now available.

Web_CF3_Menu_Programme

All right people, here is the Film ‘menu’ for the day! We realize it might be a bit early for some, so we will start you off with a light brunch, to ease your palate. But don’t think for a minute things will stay that way!

Brunch

11am starts with a short film that isn’t horror but is captivating, it’s music is hypnotic and will keep your eyes on the screen. Our first feature takes you on an adventure that every filmmaker has struggled with. You might be laughing when the 1st short film block starts at 12:45, but I can guarantee you will not be by the end of it. – We have a little surprise for you – By 2pm we think everyone will be ready for some blood and gore!

Tea Time

OK, now it’s time for the main short film block, we are going to take you all over the place with this one! A great sampling of films from all over the world. We will be following this up with Awards and Prize Giveaways!

The Main Course

Mmmmm, the main course. You like camp? You like blood? You like boobs? Then my friends you will love the main course! We kick things off at 6pm so be in your seats, because you won’t want to miss the mayhem that ensues for the next 4hrs!! At 10pm we will try to bring you back to reality, and then end the evening with an erotic feature.

If you need a little sampling before you join us for the day check out the post CINEMAFANTASTIQUE 3 LINE UP . Many filmmakers will be in attendance, and the one and only Mr Lloyd Kaufman from Troma.

I bet by now your wondering how the hell you can get tickets!! Well for those individuals who want to get their tickets online at a discount, they are available now at Indiegogo and FilmFreeway , until Friday August 25th. On the day of the festival they will be available at the door for $20.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there!!!

Get your Judgy pants on!

judgy-pants-to-be-worn-at-all-timesSo for our 3rd year, we decided like the 1st year,  to have the films duke it out in competition! There are going to be 4 categories, the winners of those 4 categories will then go into competition for BEST SHORT & BEST FEATURE at Cinemafantastique 3. They will be announced on the day of the festival at the Vancity Theatre in downtown Vancouver on Saturday August 26! We have some pretty cool judges that I will let you know about below ↓↓↓↓. For all those awesome individuals who are getting their asses in seats, your voices will be heard…Why?  Because we think every competition fest should have an AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARD! The winners of those will be announced a few days after the Cinemafantastique 3 mania dies down… after we count all the ballets.

So let’s introduce you to the judges….

First up we have Rob Carpenter; we have known Rob for like a thousand years, he has acted in many Creepy Six Films, as well as wearing numerous other hats: Producer, casting director, and the title that EVERY indie filmmaker knows: ‘do what it takes to get shit done’ person. Rob has also directed the award-winning short Dirty Bill of Health, and completed his 1st feature film Nutshells  (which is doing the festival circuit right now) with his film company Random Dude Films.

Next up is Paul Denis, he is a lover of movies and comics and a truly awesome individual! He was the cool cat that brought us Empire Fan Favorites on 35mm at the now-defunct Granville 7. (Thank you, Sir). You wanna talk movies over beer with an awesome individual, Paul is your guy. He knows his shit and delivers it with a big smile and zero ego; well maybe a little bit, it’s just hidden behind the charming British accent.

We also have the honour of having the multi-award-winning director Jennifer Campbell,  whose body-horror short films Bruised and Hike have made audiences squirm all over the world. We are grateful for her taking the time away from producing her first feature film to be with us at this year’s festival. Side note — If there are any producers out there looking for talented individuals, with an incredible story, you have to look this women up!

Last but not least, we have the incredible women behind Blue Girl Productions, Nadine L’Esperance. Nadine has grossed out many an audience with her award-winning short films No Pets Allowed, Granny Fuckers and Out of My Skin. She will be treating us to some Punk Rock shenanigans right before Troma’s Return to Return to Nuke’ Em High Aka Vol. 2 at this year’s festival with the banned-on-social-media music video she directed for the Gnar Gnars called Hooker Piss!

We are very grateful to all the judges for making the hard decisions they are going to have to make. The easy part will be watching the films, now they — and you — must choose. There can be only one… Well, two if you count both categories.

Enjoy!
